Doesn't fit
Greenworks 16" saws on the .043" chain 2904602 (CS82210, CS48L4411, 48CS16, 20312, 20322, CS40L412, CSE402) — same 16" length, pitch and 56 drive links, but a thinner .043" gauge. (source)
What this is
Two replacement chains for Greenworks’ 16” saws that use its .050” gauge chain, 2904402: the 80V CS80L01 / CS80L211 / CS80L2512, the 60V CS60L00 / CS60L210 / CS60L212, and the 12 A corded 20022 and 20232. This pack is the same size: 16”, 3/8” low-profile pitch, .050” gauge, 56 drive links.
Check the gauge on your bar first
Greenworks sells two 16” chains that differ only in gauge:
Greenworks’ own listings don’t always agree. The CS80L01 manual and the Canadian parts pages give .050” for the saws in our table, but one US Greenworks page (chain 31101590) lists some of the same models as .043”. Because of that, go by the number stamped on your bar, not only the model name: this chain is for bars stamped .050”.
Fitting it
On the CS80L01 and CS80L211, you loosen the bar nuts with the supplied wrench and then set tension with the adjusting screw — these saws do not have a tool-free knob.
2904402, Greenworks' .050" 16" chain. The CS80L01 manual gives the Oregon equivalent as 91PJ056X, and the corded 20022 is listed under Greenworks chain 29132, also .050" with 56 links.
Greenworks' site lists my saw under a .043" chain. Which is right?
Greenworks' own pages disagree for some models: the manual and the Canadian parts pages list CS80L211, CS80L2512, CS80L01, CS60L212 and 20022 with a .050" chain, while the US page for chain 31101590 lists several of the same models as .043". Check the gauge stamped on your bar before ordering — if it says .043", this chain won't fit.
Does Greenworks allow other brands of chain?
Greenworks' FAQ for the CS80L211 says another brand of chain is fine as long as the gauge, pitch and drive-link count match the original.
