What this is

Two replacement chains in the 16” size Oregon sells as S56: 3/8” low-profile pitch, .050” gauge, 56 drive links. Husqvarna calls the same pitch “3/8” mini” and sells it as S93G or H37. It fits the saws in the table above when they have a 16” bar: Husqvarna’s 120 Mark II, 130, 135, 240, 439 and T435, Ryobi’s RY3716 and 40V RY40550 / RY40505, Homelite’s UT43122 / UT43123, several Remington electric saws, the HART 40V HLCS021VNM, the Makita UC4051A, WEN and more.

Check the bar and the gauge

Husqvarna 135, 240 and 120 Mark II are sold with other bar lengths too. The original 135 ships with a 14” bar, and the 120 Mark II and 240 also approve an 18” bar; this chain fits only the 16”.
.043” or .050”? The other common 16” chain is .043” gauge — see our .043” 16” chain for DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita XCU04 saws.
Greenworks sells both gauges in 16”, and its own pages don’t agree on every model. Our Greenworks 16” page lists what Greenworks’ manuals say; go by the stamp on your bar.

Fitting it

The Husqvarna 135 Mark II uses side chain tensioning, and Husqvarna recommends only the bar and chain combinations it lists. The WEN 40417 and Makita UC4051A have tool-free chain adjustment.

Which part numbers is this the same size as?

Oregon S56 / 91PX056G, Husqvarna S93G and H37 in 16" / 56 links, Makita E-00256, WEN 4017-088 and 40417-002.

My Husqvarna 135 has a 14-inch bar. Does this fit?

No. The original 135 ships with a 14" bar; this chain fits it only with the approved 16" bar.

Does it fit Greenworks 16-inch saws?

Some. Greenworks sells two 16" chains — .050" (2904402) and .043" (2904602 / 31101590) — and its own pages disagree about which saws take which. Check the gauge stamped on your bar, and see our Greenworks 16" page.

Is the Ryobi 40V RY40550 chain .043" or .050"?

.050". Ryobi lists its RY16C1 (Y56 .050") chain for the RY40550 and RY40505BTL, and the RY3716 and RY43155 manuals also give .050". Ryobi's 14" 40V saws are different: Oregon lists a .043" chain for the RY40502 and RY40511.

Does it fit the HART 40V 16" HLCS021VNM?

Oregon lists its .050" 16" chain for this saw. HART doesn't publish the gauge and we couldn't find a manual for it, so check the gauge stamped on your bar before ordering.

Does it fit the Remington RM1632A or RM1635W?

Oregon lists its 56-link .050" 16" chain for both, and Remington's RM1645 manual gives the same 3/8" / .050" spec for its 16" saw. Remington's RM1632A / RM1635W manual doesn't give chain specs, so count the links on your old chain.

Does it fit my older Remington chainsaw?

Many older Remington saws were sold with several bar lengths. Oregon lists this 56-link .050" chain for the models in the table above when they carry a 16" bar. A handful of older gas models (075705J, 075762J, 076728K, 098031J, 099178H and 107709-01) take a 54-link 16" chain instead. Count the links on your old chain.

Does it fit the Ryobi 40V HP RY40HPCW02?

Yes. Ryobi's manual lists chain 682006005 (retail RY16C1) for its 16" bar: 3/8" low-profile, .050", 56 drive links. The saw also approves a 14" bar, which needs a 52-link chain.
