What this is
Two replacement chains in a less common 12” size: 1/4” pitch, .043” gauge, 64 drive links. Two saws use it:
- Ryobi P2507 18V ONE+ HP Brushless Whisper Series 12” chainsaw, sold as the P2570 kit and the P2507BTL tool-only saw. Ryobi’s manual lists chain 682598001 on bar 318310001; the retail replacement is RY12C11.
- SKIL TH1200C PWR CORE 40 12” top-handle chain saw (TH1200C-11 kit). SKIL’s replacement is SCN1204.

Two 12-inch sizes, and they don’t mix
Most cordless 12” saws, including SKIL’s own PWR CORE 20 CS4562B, take a 3/8” low-profile chain with 45 drive links. These two saws take a 1/4” chain with 64. Some retailers list SCN1204 as a 3/8” low-profile chain, but SKIL’s own page says 1/4” pitch and 64 drive links. If your old chain has 45 links, you need our 12” 45-link chain instead.
Fitting it
The two saws tension differently. The Ryobi P2507 uses a chain tensioning screw turned with the supplied combination wrench; the SKIL TH1200C has a tool-free side dial. Ryobi’s manual asks for a chain equivalent to the original or one certified low-kickback to ANSI B175.1, and lists a 5/32 in. round file for sharpening.
