What this is
Two replacement chains for the Remington RM4620 46cc gas chainsaw with its 20” bar. The manual lists chain 753-08102 on bar 753-08101 with 0.325” pitch and .050” gauge, and Oregon lists its H78 chain, with 78 drive links, for the saw. Troy-Bilt (MTD, which made Remington’s gas saws) now sells the chain as 913-05044. This pack is the same size.
RM4618 or RM4620?
The two share a manual, but the RM4618 has an 18” bar and a 72-link chain. This chain fits an RM4618 only if it has been refitted with the 20” bar. The similarly named RM4218 is an older 18” saw with 3/8” pitch. Remington’s larger RM5520R is another conflict: its own manual gives 3/8” pitch although Oregon lists it with this chain, so check the pitch stamped on the bar.
Fitting it
The RM4620 tensions with a chain-tensioning screw; Remington’s check is that a warm chain’s drive links hang about 1/16 in. out of the groove. The manual calls for a low-kickback chain for non-professional users.
