What this is
Two replacement chains for Ridgid’s 18V brushless 12” chainsaw, sold as the R01101B (tool only) and the R01101K kit. Ridgid’s manual and repair sheet give the chain as 12”, 3/8” pitch, .043” gauge, 45 drive links, service part 678928001. This pack is the same size. A 3/8” chain in .043” gauge is the low-profile (3/8” LP) size, the same loop Oregon sells as 90PX045.
Check before you order
- Count 45 drive links on the old chain.
- Check the gauge on the bar. A .043” chain needs a .043” bar groove; this saw ships with one, but if the bar has been changed, go by the stamp on the new bar.
- Ridgid’s manual lists only a 12” bar for this saw.
Fitting it
The R01101 is tensioned with a chain tensioning screw, not a tool-free knob — the tool-only kit includes a combination wrench. The manual also says a replacement chain must be equivalent to the original or certified as low-kickback under ANSI B175.1.
